Legends Of The Wild West
As you come to Frontierland from Central Plaza, you will cross Legends of the Wild West. It is actually Fort Comstock, a replica of a wooden fort from the Far West. It has been opened since 1993, but not constantly, as its opening hours depend on the weather.
Inside this fort, you will be able to discover the history of the conquest of the American Wild West, as legendary characters, such as Buffalo Bill, make you relive historical moments.
Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing
Come aboard the Molly Brown, a beautiful paddleboat, for an interesting trip that will let you know about the story of this old boat, and take you to see the wonders of the river that crosses the small town of Thunder Mesa...
This boat trip offers many breathtaking sights : mooses, natural arches born out of rocks, and a dinosaur's skeleton...keep your eyes wide open !
Up on a hill, the gloomy figure of the Ravenswood family's abandoned manor casts its shadow on Thunder Mesa. Will you manage to discover the truth about Phantom Manor's mysteries and the strange bride who haunts the house ?
Even when you exit the Manor, the adventure goes on : you will find an old cemetery, filled with the family's tombstones. This is one of the most popular attractions of the Park, so make sure to put it on your to-do list !
Rustler Roundup Shootin's Gallery
This attraction is actually a group of stands where you can try your hand at rifle shooting ! Who knows, maybe you'll become the best shooter in the Far West ?
Just so you know, you will need to pay to access this attraction. It is not included in the price of your entrance ticket. Other attractions function this way, such as Discoveryland's arcade games.
Big Thunder Mountain
Big Thunder Mountain is an old, abandoned mine, in the middle of the River of the Far West. This rollercoaster is extremely popular in the resort !
This attraction is quite special : it was the only one of its kind when Disneyland Paris first opened, and is still the only one that is isolated on an island !
Pocahontas : Indian Village
In 1996, Indian Canoes closed and this children's playground opened ! It is a tribute to Walt Disney's classic, Pocahontas. Indeed, you can find various items that will remind you of the movie.
Just like the other playgrounds, Pocahontas Indian Village only opens if the weather allows it. A lot of Disney characters can often be spotted nearby, so keep your eyes open !
Critter Coral used to be a replica of a traditional Far West ranch, where you could encounter horses, ducks, etc...it is now used for special seasons !
It is currently Arendelle's Marketplace, a square inspired by the successful movie Frozen. Here, you can take pictures with Olaf or Sven, enjoy some shopping time or surprise your little girl by taking her to a make up artist's stand !
Disneyland Railroad - Frontierland Depot
Near Critter Coral and the Chaparral Theater, one can find Thunder Mesa's train station. Take a seat into one of the four trains of the park and you'll find yourself in Main Street USA, Discoveryland or Fantasyland within minutes !
During your journey to another land, take time to enjoy the beautiful sight that is the River of the Far West, which can also be admired from a paddleboat. It is absolutely a must-see !
